An intimate and personal wedding in Arizona that was natural and woodsy

Today's wedding of Jenn and Steve is absolutely gorgeous and filled with an abundant amount of LOVE. The couple found a house/castle in Flagstaff, Arizona that they were able to rent and have their festivities in. How awesome is that? Jenn and Steve wanted an intimate and personal wedding that was natural and woodsy with fall colors. They wanted every detail of the wedding to reflect who they are and what they like {including the homemade details, cheesecakes and Mexican food}. Steve actually made the trellis that they stood under for the ceremony as well as a few of the personal items throughout the decor. The spectacular photographs are by Studio Moirae Photography.

A sweet Montana wedding filled with personal touches + little rays of sunshine

According to family tradition, Shannon, the bride, will have plenty of luck in her marriage to Shafer as she placed a lucky sixpence in her shoe the day of the wedding. Their bright yellow and grey color palette added that extra pop of color to their smiling faces and laughter-filled wedding ceremony. Their wedding was so sweet with the inclusion of 15 children that carried golden balloons down the aisle. I just love seeing all the happy little faces - it's so sweet, especially when the bride and groom are right in the middle with all of them after the ceremony. As the photographer Kristine Paulsen wrote, "Shannon and Shafer are both early childhood special education teachers, so these little rays of sunshine walking down the aisle were especially meaningful to them as a couple." And, Kristine continues to explain . . . "There were many personal touches throughout their ceremony, including a Celtic hand-fastening ritual, which utilized cloth from both Shannon and Shafer’s childhood blankets, plus a new cloth to carry them into the future together. Toasts were hilarious and had everybody howling with laughter and this energy carried over into dancing, which was a mixture of beautiful, wild, wacky and fun!"

After the Wedding Session : getting wet in the waters of Lake Michigan

Happy Monday!!!!! We're starting the week off with something amazing and beautiful from Maggie Rife Photography. It's the lovely after-wedding photo shoot that took place at Oak Street Beach in the chilly water of Lake Michigan in early June. Molly's girlfriends {who are also part of her running group} came to cheer on the couple at their shoot. When Molly asked if she should just go for it, they told her "YES". So, Molly went for it and not once did she complain about the frigid temperatures. And, Nick, her new husband even joined her. I just love each of these photos. Especially the ones when Nick rolls up his pants high-water style and joins his bride in the water. And, of course, seeing the Chicago skyline in the background is the perfect backdrop for these shots.

A Mississippi wedding full of excitement and dancing under twinkling lights

Today's beautiful wedding of Kate and Eli took place in Oxford, Mississippi and was photographed by Captured Photography. I love how the entire wedding party and guests walked from the church to the reception behind the music of a trumpet and sax player. And, don't you just LOVE the brides dress? Oh, and wait until you see the brides portraits in-front of the damask print wall with her green and white bouquet. Simply Stunning!!!!
