The sweetest of weddings : a real wedding of two friends since high school

Today's lovely wedding of Sara and John was photographed by Leigh Skaggs Photography. They have known each other since high school so not only are they best friends, but they are head over heels in love. Their wedding was held at the Half Moone Cruise Terminal in Norfolk VA. Don't you just love all the reflections in the photos during their ceremony? Oh, and when you get to the reception you will see cakes on each table - these non-edible creations were made by the bride and her friends for the centerpieces. I love the idea of a non-floral centerpiece. Very cute.

A Real Canadian Wedding in purple + green with a topsy turvy cake

location: Winnipeg, Canada
color palette: black, plum and lime green

Happy Monday!!! Today's wedding of Ashley and Alessandro is a beauty from Madeline's Weddings & Events. Madeline's team pulled out the works for their wedding including gorgeous decor, their very special and unique spotlighting as well as designing their wedding invitations and reception stationery. And, not only is the bride beautiful - but there's even the guys and a shopping cart {aren't guys silly?} along with leaves being tossed in the air. I love shots like this!

A bright, bold and fun starfish themed Florida wedding with a sundae bar

Location: St. Augustine, Florida
Color Palette: Teal, Orange, and Fuchsia

Wes and Liz of Weber Photography were the lucky two to photograph the gorgeous wedding of Tamara and Manuel. I love what they wrte . . . "There was an air about them of just simply being grateful to have each other. It was an absolutely wonderful day all around." And, wait until you see the ring bearer - his name is Riley and he's so cute and furry :) You can even spy him on the dance floor. The colors in this wedding were bright, bold and fun - and they look perfect paired together. There was even a sundae bar at the end of the night along with a beautiful sparkler exit.

New Year's Eve Wedding in Canada with Madeline's Weddings & Events

This is the new home for Brenda's Wedding Blog

Today's New Year's Eve celebration if Meredith and Todd comes to us from Madeline's Weddings and Events in Canada. The end of the year wedding reception was held in the Crystal Ballroom at the Fort Garry Hotel. Madeline created the perfect New Year's Eve soiree with their Ocean Blue pintuck linens and chairs that were dressed in white satin chair covers with matching white napkins to finish off the look. Meredith and Todd chose Madeline’s Signature Premium Head Table Design. The head table was draped with an Ocean Blue organza overlay on top of satin table linens. Beautiful, warm candles stretched from end to end and gave the head table a wonderful romantic feel that was perfect for their celebration. To reflect the flicker of each candle, glass mirrors were used to line the base of the head table.

Real Wedding: a bride in red accents with a motorcycle send-off

This is the new home for Brenda's Wedding Blog

Today's Canadian wedding from Jen Shoots Weddings features a red-haired bride with a red dress sash, red necklace and even a red cardigan. I love it!!!!!!! Anne and Chris' wedding featured so many great red accents and I just love that last photo as they get ready to ride-off from their wedding on a motorcycle. Their wedding was held at Oasis Convention Centre in Canada.

A Vintage European Wedding with lots of DIY goodness + balloons

Today's Real Wedding showcase of Gilles and Gromaire comes to us all the way from France. Elisabeth Perotin Photographie loves to shoot retro-boheme styled weddings, and this one couldn't have been more perfect for Elizabeth to photograph. The bride, Gilles, wore a 20's style dress made by "Lili M" who is a very talented designer from Reims, France and carried a gorgeous bouquet of peonies. The brides shoes were by Vivienne Westwood. The bride also created everything for the wedding herself - isn't it just amazing?!?!?!

A gorgeous Minnesota Wedding with unique gallery art as the backdrop

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Today's gorgeous wedding of Rachel and Justin comes to us from Erin Johnson Photography. The photos of the couple taken at The Chamber's Hotel in Minneapolis are just great. I'm loving all the unique gallery art as the backdrop. And, their reception was amazing. From the plums in the vases of the florals to the dessert bar from Cocoa & Fig - everything was just perfection. And, at the end of the night, guests were treated to the Turkey to Go food truck {which is owned by a couple of the groomsmen}. As Erin, their photographer wrote . . . "All in all, it was a beautiful occasion and I was so honored to be a part of it!"
