Photo Shoot : A "mock" Summer Wedding in a Red Rustic Barn

This short and sweet "mock" wedding was a stylized shoot which showcases a brand new wedding location in Florida. There's a huge barn for receptions and a covered bridge for weddings. The "cowish" feel was accomplished with the use of bandanas and rope in the flowers and the dress company custom made the brown and white polka dot dresses.

The Ultimate Trends for Summer 2011 from The Wedding Salon

Deep Purples and Lavenders, Nature-Inspired Accents & Larger-Than-Life
Tree Centerpieces are Amongst the Hottest Trends for the Season Ahead

Brides' fantasy weddings came to life at The Wedding Salon at The London West Hollywood. This Million Dollar Bridal Event showcased the hottest trends for Summer 2011 including Ceiling-High Tree Centerpieces dripping in Crystal, Nature-Inspired Centerpieces inspired by the California landscape, Terrarium Centerpieces for the Eco-Friendly Bride & Regal Displays of Purples and Lavenders.

"We were thrilled at the success of The Wedding Salon in Los Angeles! The Los Angeles Bridal Market came together for one night, showcasing the ultimate trends for the year ahead," says Wedding Salon Founder and renowned Celebrity Event Planner, Tatiana Byron.

The ultimate trend for weddings for Summer 2011 will be looking to nature and the local landscape for reception tables. Los Angeles’ finest event designers showcased reception décor inspired by the California landscape. H. White Special Events used sky-high branches dripping with crystals and orchids as centerpieces. To add a whimsical effect, crystal orbs filled with orchids dripped from the branches over textured teal linens. Secrets Resorts & Spas also looked to nature by creating a centerpiece with a life-sized tree nearly reaching the ballroom’s ceiling. For a whimsical effect, Secrets Resorts’ designers incorporated purple Christmas lights wrapped around the tree branches for a magical centerpiece with ornaments dangling from the branches.

Pur Luxe Events showcased trends for the eco-friendly bride with gorgeous reception tables created with natural linens made from hemp and organic cotton, locally grown in Los Angeles. Pur Luxe showcased a new eco-trend of the terrarium garden, created by filling apothecary jars with succulents and moss for wedding guests to take home and keep for months to come. Dress My Party additionally chose succulents as accents for their nature-inspired centerpiece accenting a birdcage with tropical birds, butterflies and dripping with moss.

Los Angeles’ leading celebrity designers revealed that the hottest colors in weddings for the season include shades of lavender and purple with regal accents. Celebrity favorites, Cake and Art created Van Gogh inspired cakes hand-painted with purples, teal and green for the art-loving bride. While the exterior of cakes for Summer 2011 will be anything but traditional, the team from Cake and Art revealed that when it comes to flavors, brides are opting for the ultra-traditional with white on white or red velvet cakes.

As for favors, the team from Sandals Resorts showcased the latest trend for interactive favors with flipbooks where guests can pose with props in a mini-photo booth for their take-home favor of an old-fashioned moving photo flipbook showing the guests dancing, laughing and enjoying the special day with the bride and groom.
