Inspiration Board : Rustic Glam + a pumpkin-tini from Heart Love Weddings

When I saw this inspiration board from Alexandra of Heart Love Weddings, I knew it was the perfect addition to this month's magazine and the colors paired perfectly with our palette of red, orange and brown. When pairing the shimmery pumpkin orange Watters dress with the handmade favor bags and the caramel apples with twig branches you have the perfect combination of rustic elegance. You can see the original post here with all the credit links and even more details.

Rustic Fall Elegance in a Barn with Apples and Sunflowers

Last week on Brenda's Wedding Blog, I posted a great photo shoot that incorporated apples and sunflowers into a photo shoot that combined both rustic elements with elegant touches. To see more from the shoot, please click here. Jessica of Pink Champagne Events teamed up with the photographer, Courtney Lee Photography who developed the inspiration behind the shoot. Their goal was to produce a casual environment {gingham ribbon was used for tying the utensils and wrapping the bouquet} that had touches of rustic elegance {use of the barn itself and Christmas lights}.

Yummy Goodie: Clementine Macarons with Citrus Cream Filling

Ez of Creature Comforts has shared a yummy goodie on her blog recently and since we just had Thanksgiving - some might be looking for another yummy treat that doesn't have pumpkin in it. Well, this time of year - the Clementines are here and this just looks so good. See the recipe here on Ladies Home Journal. Ez even created free printable gift tags in case you might like to package up your cookies for gift giving. We also couldn't help but share this photo, taken by Ez herself. It just makes me smile - and a smile is a great way to head into the weekend.

Easy last minute centerpieces for Thanksgiving or any fall event

Midwest Living has some amazingly gorgeous inspiration and décor ideas for fall. And, with tomorrow being Thanksgiving, it's just perfect to share today for any last minute ideas you might be looking for. {see all ideas here}. Wishing all that are celebrating a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. We're taking tomorrow off from posting and will be back on Friday with a little something to inspire you.

Top Left: Placing mini white or orange-stripe pumpkins on white candlesticks and dishware is a simple and elegant display. You can add a punch of bright color by place a bittersweet branch in a vase.
Top Right: For easy conversation, create a low centerpiece with pillar candles in fall hues that are different heights on top of a wood cutting board. You can complete the look with dried oranges, fall gourds and bittersweet. Placing a single fall leaf atop each napkin tied with a velvety ribbon will create coordinating place settings.
Bottom Left: Placing fall colored blooms and berries in round glass vases is a great and simple way to brighten an autumn table. Consider spicy-hue orange chrysanthemums, bittersweet, marigolds, poppies or zinnias.
Bottom Right: Arrange wheat, green Hypericum berries and feathers from the craft store in a vase that's filled with birdseed.

Gorgeous Fall Colors : an inspiration board in red, orange + brown

So happy to welcome Laura of For Her and For Him to the magazine today with her beautiful fall inspiration board. From Laura . . . "I really enjoyed making up this board - it was a nasty cold morning so I was happy to sit back with a hot coffee and look at all these gorgeous, bright colors - very uplifting! It's a great color palette for Autumn and Winter weddings, and if it's all bit too bright and warm, I suggest a cool, dusty grey to balance things out. I love the food potential for these colors, and this season - cinnamon hot chocolate, cakes decorated with orange slices, heaps of red cherries and berries, pomegranate salad.... the list goes on!" Please be sure to see below for a great special Laura is offering on her site for all orders placed before Christmas.

The perfect fall inspired wedding bouquet

Today's feature is a follow-up to yesterday's rustic wedding inspiration at the cider mill. Kim of Something Floral joins us again with a never before seen bouquet she created to coordinate with the photo shoot. Don't you just love how the bouquet even features apples? Kim wrapped the floral stems in layered burlap, satin ribbon and lace which was then accented iwth a small wooden apple cut-out shape.

The bouquet includes Roses, Lilies, Waxflower, Hypericum, Chrysanthemums, and Fern Shoots.
