Winners Announced : Best Wedding Sites Magazine Giveaway #7

It's time to announce the winners from the September issue of The Best Wedding Sites Magazine - particpants were asked to write what comes to mind when they hear the color palette of navy blue and yellow for a wedding.

The winner of the dark blue floral barrette from Tilley Jewels is Avital of San Francisco, CA
My alma mater, UCLA -- where I met my fiance! Great color combo. Thanks for this chance to win and for your really great website.

The winner of the Glitz and Glamour package from Wilton is Betsy of Brooklyn, NY
Preppy, preppy, preppy!  Navy and yellow is such a crisp, bold combination, which makes it perfect for a nautical themed wedding.  I love the look of a crisp, navy bridesmaid's dress with a simple bouquet of yellow flowers-- my favorite are super-bright poppies.

The winner of the handpainted parasol from Kio Kreations is Alicia of Leavenworth, KS
I think of the New England states and nautical theme. I'm not sure why but the color are so striking and it makes me think of the east coast with all the lighthouses and boats, etc. Beautiful colors

The winner of the $50 gift certificate for shopping at Brides Village is Amanda of Charleston, WV
I LOVE IT!! My wedding will be these colors and I am looking forward to finding all kinds of cute decorations. I am soo excited to start buying decorations with this color scheme it is killing me!!

I will be sending out an email to you all to confirm your winnings.
Please note: winner(s) have 48 business hours to reply or another winner will be selected.

Inspiration Board : Navy Blue + Yellow ... a clean, classic & elegant affair

Today we are joined by Erin of Sparkle and Hay who has created a classic and elegant inspiration board in this months color palette of navy blue and yellow. Erin writes . . . "When I think of a navy & yellow wedding palette I immediately think of clean, classic & elegant affair.  Bowties maintain the sophisticated feel, but add a playful touch to balance the formality of the clean lines." Don't you just LOVE those tiered cakes?

An eclectic backyard wedding in Connecticut with the sweetest extra touches

[Fairfield, Connecticut]

Marisa of Sassy Mouth Photography is back again this month with another stunning navy blue and yellow wedding. The wedding of Kelly and Dave moved smoothly along with the coordination from Weddingistas. Marisa said the wedding day "one of the most perfect days I have ever seen in my life for a wedding. It turns out that Kelly consulted the farmer’s almanac while choosing the day, and what a right prediction it was. A total dream." Before the ceremony, Marisa met the girls at Southport Harbor for some photos with the bride and her bridesmaids. And, then after the ceremony - there's an amazing reception with lots of details - including a table of cakes, favors filled with canned goodies, shutters to hold the escort cards, and much more. Oh, and there's also the loveliest centerpieces - simple and oh, so pretty vases with hydrangeas and a sweet little table number card tucked in the center.
